Response To Being Censored (LinkedIn)

linkedin.com

After years of connecting with incredible volunteers here on LinkedIn, our recruitment post was recently removed following what appears to be a complaint from a competing organization.

We’ve also been asked by a third party to produce nonprofit registration documentation before we can be taken seriously.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿: 𝗡𝗼!

DirectSponsor exists precisely because the registered, institutionalized charity sector—for all its paperwork and credentials—has a track record of waste, mismanagement, and harm that dwarfs anything a small peer-to-peer network could dream up. We’re not interested in joining that club. We’re interested in connecting real donors with real people, directly, with no middlemen taking a cut.

If that threatens someone’s business model, we take it as a compliment.

We’ll keep sharing updates here on the DirectSponsor page, and we’re expanding to other channels too. If you’ve volunteered with us or followed our work, thank you — and please share this post. The best response to being silenced is to get louder.
