DirectAdmin—I had trouble finding where to set the admin email, so here it is to save time next time. Change the Direct Admin email address. https://directadmin-de.kxe.io:2222/evo/user/profile/general
It was originally done manually (personal service!), but now we use the DirectAdmin API to set up new accounts.
Are you looking at offering your end-users VPS offers or shared hosting accounts (which would be setup in your reseller accounts)?
For the shared / hosting accounts,
DirectAdmin does have an API -- https://www.directadmin.com/api.php
As well as you can use something like WHMCS or Blesta to manage orders/invoices/payments as well
For the VPS side,
We do have a API for this, but it is more on the VPS management side, VPS purchase/creation is not available via the API currently
We do have a module for WHMCS as well,

For the VPS plans we can offer you discounts as well when reselling the plans onto your end customers

Billing systems are a total PITA, and fiat currency is a nightmare to use. We support intelligent alternatives, and thus we only accept bitcoin payments. The cost of on-chain transactions makes small payments expensive, and so we only use the Lightning Network. If the world doesn’t catch up with all this, there is no point in continuing anyway.
Payment system
This need not be huge and complicated either. All we need is
- a running balance that gets debited at intervals
- customer can top up at any time
- We can set the amount and the interval that the deductions are made.
- That amount can be later coded to be attached to usage meters, perhaps, to automate it.
- • The system sends out warnings at certain preset low balances.

silicomnetwork.com is very cheap and might be worth using if we get problems with the existing one. They also have a lifetime reseller account and sell permanent hosting from 10 dollars. Strange… but they said, “We have been offering services for more than 25 years; you can verify with archive.org,” so maybe it’s real! They have shared hosting from $3 per year so this could be part of the “free” offering for tasks. Even this has a lightspeed server with LS cache too so good for anyone with WordPress.
7 dollars per month gets us DirectAdmin with 200GB of space so we can have 40 accounts for that fairly safely. That’s 0.175 per account.
myownfreehost.net—we have an account using http://nimno.eu/ which allows us to give free hosting accounts. Users can upgrade using internal links, which will make them customers of ifastnet and we get some percentage of that, or they could use SatoshiHost. This makes 3 levels: Free—nothing to do or pay; “free” means doing tasks or paid hosting. I set up http://church.nimno.eu/ to try it out and one “customer” was made by Kelvin.
- resellerspanel.com also has a free reseller account available.
Domain Reseller
It’s really preferable (from the user’s PoV) to register your domains yourself, because that way you’re in full control of your domain. If you fall out with your hosting provider, you can just go to your domain registrar and point your domain elsewhere. You can’t do that if your domain is in the same account as your hosting! For this reason, we will recommend porkbun.com and will only add in domain reg to the interface if it appears that we are losing sales by not providing it.
- internetbs.net in the Bahamas seems to have low prices and has a reseller account.
- freenom.com also very low. -Crap—do not use!
- resellerspanel.com also has domain reselling options.
