ClickForCharity.net

Core Concept

ClickForCharity is a specialised component of the Direct Sponsor system. It’s for people to do tasks to help the network grow and to earn revenue. It consists of a basic descriptive site and a fairly standard PTC/Surveys/Tasks site. It’s connected to the rest of the sites via our Auth server, and thus all balances, user profiles, etc. work across all sites.

Recipients need a regular income to pursue their projects; therefore, ClickforCharity supports specific fundraisers for them but only as a supplement to the regular funding provided by directsponsor.net. The income from tasks etc. is sporadic and not reliable enough to support a recipient directly. Thus, ClickforCharity (and our other sites) will provide material support in the form of specific needs our recipients have, such as water purification, internet access, etc.

Gamification Elements (Simple to Implement)

  • Points System – Different tasks worth different XP
  • Leaderboards—Daily/weekly/all-time top volunteers
  • Achievement Badges—”First Raid”, “100 Tasks”, “Social Media Master”
  • Streak Counters—Days in a row with task completion
  • Level System—Volunteers progress through ranks
  • Guild/Team Features—Coordinate group efforts

Volunteers have entertainment, gaming, and purpose.
Recipients have a professional platform, a social media boost and donations.
Platform gets: Clear architecture + Engaged volunteers + Sustainable model

Below Is Redundant

Possibilities

  • use roflfaucet for all tasks
  • members get a balance and a rank or some other reward
  • If other sites can add offerwalls, etc., then so can we; we just need the right script
  • Faucet scripts presumably have plenty of ad spaces. So we could have just 2 ads appear and the rest be jokes. plus one prominent ad for the same use as the clickforcharity direct sponsoring ads
  • People can sign up and use the roflfaucet system or just visit as a minor task from the clickforcharity thank-you page

ClickForCharity is not a charity. It’s a system for people to do simple tasks to earn small amounts of bitcoin and then allocate it to their chosen recipient. It uses common internet technologies that people are familiar with.

Users can sign up and are allocated bitcoin addresses that they can use to do various online tasks to gain bitcoin rewards, such as

  • Surveys
  • Games
  • Paid-To-Click Sites
  • Microtasks Sites
  • Bitcoin Faucet Sites

We give them addresses to use, so no knowledge of how Bitcoin works is needed. They simply use the addresses to collect rewards, and then, via our system, they can choose which recipients to send their funds to.

The site itself can also generate some revenue from advertising, and we can have our own paid-to-click scripts and whatever else we want. There are limitless possibilities. Gamification can give the same kind of dopamine rewards that many other sites use. We can do this aspect of the project first, as it is relatively easy to do.

Phase 1
Phase 2
Phase 3

The projects that clickforcharity users fund will be the same ones that directsponsor.org will eventually be used for, except that directsponsor will involve people sending money in regular monthly sponsorship commitments to an individual.

Funding

It’s crucial to separate out the funding part from the charity part to avoid becoming an NGO. “We” become the funding entity and thus control that funding fully, removing all need to cater to other entities’ agendas (e.g., UN Millennium Development Goals). Clickforcharity becomes a system that people can use without reference to anyone else but their peers.

Open Source

All our projects must be open source so that they can eventually be a distributed system. Thus, we either write our own code or use code that is already open source.
